“I took a deep

breath and listened

to the old brag of

my heart.

I am, I am, I am.”

My name is Isabelle Higgins, and I am a writer, multi-media artist, and poet.

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where I swam in the summer and danced in the winter. I attended college at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, where I climbed mountains in the spring, and ice-skated in the autumn. I graduated in 2022 with a B.A. in English Literature and Writing.

I prefer my stories full of magical realism, myth-inspired fable, angst-ridden romance, and characters that are entirely too complicated. I am an eldest daughter, a big sister, a cousin, a friend, a roller-skater, a diary-keeper, a shower-singer, a collage-maker, and a sentimentalist. I annoy everyone by recounting the plot of the book I’m reading at the moment. I have two full-length novel manuscripts that I am editing and hopefully releasing into the world soon, and of course, always working on the next new book.

This is my website, my compiled works, years and years of effort distilled into one online portfolio. Thank you for being here.
