“I took a deep
breath and listened
to the old brag of
my heart.
I am, I am, I am.”

My name is Isabelle Higgins, and I am a writer, multi-media artist, and poet.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where I swam in the summer and danced in the winter. I attended college at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, where I climbed mountains in the spring, and ice-skated in the autumn. I graduated in 2022 with a B.A. in English Literature and Writing.
I prefer my stories full of magical realism, myth-inspired fable, angst-ridden romance, and characters that are entirely too complicated. I am an eldest daughter, a big sister, a cousin, a friend, a roller-skater, a diary-keeper, a shower-singer, a collage-maker, and a sentimentalist. I annoy everyone by recounting the plot of the book I’m reading at the moment. I plan on releasing my first novel soon, and am currently trying not to lose my mind in the second round of edits.
This is my website, my compiled works, years and years of effort distilled into one online portfolio. Peruse, take your time, pour that wine, grab that blanket. I’m so glad you made it.
